Now that’s a great idea! I love it! My mom still has my view-master with all of my old reels. My kids love going through them (especially since the smurfs are cool again). LOL!

    • #6 by Kay aka Babygirl on August 31, 2011 - 1:27 AM

Hey Kristy :) . You still have your View-Master? I wish I had mine. My mother wouldn’t let go of my Teddy Rucspin .. but she decided to throw it out when she decided it wasn’t a collectors item anymore lol. And the smurfs were a great cartoon.. I don;t blame them for liking it. I hope you enjoyed your day today

That’s a beautiful, unique idea. I remember a Superfriends view master when I was a boy. Back then, It was so cool to have one. I think they’re still great items to have.

    • #12 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 1, 2011 - 1:45 AM

Hey the island traveler :) . You know.. it may still be cool to have a view-master. Just think of the attention you will get when people think about their childhood :) . But these are hard to come by these days.. but I have to say I miss them. I hope you enjoyed your day today

Look at you care. Your really going down memory lane and I am happy to walk with ya! My cousin still has his put away. Also they have a new one now for professionals of course that cost a lot. John and I went to a museum in Portland Oregon. Sorry can’t remember the name off my head. I just can remember in my mind how to walk there and how it look. The museum was about animations and 3D. Inside the case it showed how the viewfinders came along and how they still exist and are made. John was thinking of one time buying one to make his on but after we found out how much the film cost just to play around with, we said forget it.

sorry not care but Kay (my brain is slowly waking up, lol)

      • #15 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 1, 2011 - 1:49 AM

Oh girl don’t worry about it.. It takes my mind an hour to wake up at times lol

    • #16 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 1, 2011 - 1:49 AM

Hey girl :) . Going down memory lane just puts a huge smile on my face. No matter what we had or what we did, I always knew I was loved by my family. Those type of memories never go away nor would I want them too. And I wish you and John could’ve have bought a view-master.. but since they aren’t made in mass quantities, they become expensive. But who knows what will happen years from now.. you could be enjoying your very own family view-master :) . I hope you enjoyed your day today

      • #17 by startingoveringermany on September 1, 2011 - 11:11 AM

“No matter what we had or what we did, I always knew I was loved by my family. ” This place a smile on my face. Beautiful say. Enjoy your day as well:)

What a cute idea for wedding invitiations, even if they are pricey. I remember these things too… I used to have a couple when I was a kid with all sorts of little “disc” things to put inside… so much fun.

    • #20 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 1, 2011 - 1:51 AM

Hey Charles :) . I agree, these are charming and definitely nostalgic. I don’t think these are pricey though, based on what you get in the package. To find a view-master now and make film for it would cost more than these… so this is a deal. Whether anyone wants to spend that much is the question. I hope you enjoyed your day today

Oh my goodness, I could happily sit with a view-master for hours on end! Great idea for wedding invites but just a huge tad expensive.
Have a happy day. :-) Mandy

    • #22 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 1, 2011 - 1:53 AM

Hey Mandy :) . View-masters are just fun. I miss my old view-master. For all you get with this package, I don’t think they’re that expensive. But I have seen wedding invitations more expensive then this with less props. If I had it in my budget (whenever someone wants to marry me lol), I’d go for it. If not, I’d do something else unique lol. I hope you enjoyed your day today

I do remember View Masters. I am amazed they are either made orin existance now. I also remember the wonder I felt when I looked through the lenses as a small boy. Thanks for the memory

    • #24 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 1, 2011 - 1:54 AM

Hey countingducks :) . They still exist and I must I had no idea they were still being made. I just love the different films and all the great stories. Memory lane can be fun to travel right? :) . i hope you enjoyed your day today

    • #26 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 1, 2011 - 1:59 AM

Hey Greg :) . These are cool and very nostalgic. If it’s in someones budget.. I know people will love receiving these. I know I would love my view-master if someone sent me one lol. I hope you and Katherine enjoyed your day today

  14. #31 by Androgoth on August 31, 2011 - 7:34 PM

Ahhh yes well I not only remember it but I still have one knocking around My Gothic Realm somewhere now how about that for being wicked Kay? :) Of course you do realise that I am going to have to find this contraption out now and perhaps, if I am lucky enough to find some decent reels I will also find a comfortable tombstone and have some fun clicking the pictures round… Right I think that this calls for a glass or two of the Red stuff :) How Ghoulish…

Have a delightfully exquisite Thursday now Kay :)

    Androgoth Xx

    • #32 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 1, 2011 - 2:23 AM

Hey Androgoth :) . Lol.. finding these view-masters currently could be expensive but if you do find an inexpensive one.. you will certainly enjoy it. These were just fun as a kid and I think you would love them. I hope you enjoyed the red stuff lol and I hope you enjoyed your day today
