Six Senses Con Dao

Welcome to Six Senses Con Dao, Vietnam. Yes, Vietnam. Six Senses Con Dao Resort and Spa, is the first 5 star resort in the archipelago islands. The resort features 50 villas that sit along a mile of a beautiful sandy beach. Each villa was also built using natural, sustainable materials from local sources. And with all that wonderful information, my mind is still glued to the beautiful view and the wonderful serenity of it all. Like many others, my family members fought in Vietnam and told stories of difficult conditions (I will always appreciate their sacrifice). But when I look at this place, all the horrible stories fade away and beauty is left. So.. whose up for a vacation? :)

    • #2 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 9, 2011 - 12:58 AM

Hey Mandy :) . Seriously, if I had the money.. I think I would try to reserve all 50 villas for all of us to go lol. I would pack my bags so fast that i think I would leave my house a mess lol. I hope you enjoyed your day today

Count me in too! The only downside of vacations like this is that you have to go home. LOL! I love, love, love that picture of the lounge chair – I can totally picture myself there. :)

    • #6 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 9, 2011 - 1:00 AM

Hey Kristy :) . Lol.. I KNOW! Who wants to go home after having the most relaxed time. I know of no one who does lol. I think you and Mike would have date night every night.. so cute :) . I hope you and the family enjoyed your day today

  4. #7 by Katherine on September 8, 2011 - 11:06 AM

Oh, I love how clean and crisp and airy everything is. Just gorgeous. If there were still money to be made as a travel agent, you’d be the best.

    • #8 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 9, 2011 - 1:02 AM

Hey Katherine :) . Someone else told me that LOL. I think my need for a vacation has me finding the most amazing places lately. And it’s not that expensive either. I’m sure I would find a deal somewhere lol. I hope you and Greg enjoyed your day today

Hey babyg, I’m definitely back :D A busy summer yeah… The pool you show in the begining of your post , reminds me a lot to the pool of A, a friend of mine. Elongated and narrow pools are my favourites. What a great Spa! I don’t know why, I really feel like going for a swim right now lol! in fact yes I know why, here in Spain we are still having a really warm weather o.o
    See you babyg.

    • #10 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 9, 2011 - 1:04 AM

Hey Javi :) . Welcome back Javi!! If your friends has a similar pool, you should definitely make sure to enjoy it when they invite you over lol. Why not relax and enjoy it when you can. And enjoy the weather as well :) . I hope you enjoyed your day today

      • #11 by Javi&Palace on September 10, 2011 - 4:25 PM

Yes, I enjoy weather but sometimes it’s annoying the weather here, it pisses me off lol!
Not necessary to get an invite to his pool, I got my own , not soooo large, half and a quarter maybe lol. If someday you come to Spain, you are welcome to take a little swim :)

        • #12 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 12, 2011 - 4:26 PM

Oh stop letting the weather piss you off mister lol. And I would love to visit Spain. I would definitely let you know when I get there :)

  6. #13 by Charles on September 8, 2011 - 11:25 AM

Oh my God – this is one of the best places you’ve ever posted I think. One of the only places which has actually made me immediately think that it’s a place I want to go to, and it’s not even that expensive! $800 for 5 nights or something in an Ocean front villa… 2 adults? Goddamn, I’m there!

    • #14 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 9, 2011 - 1:08 AM

Hey Charles :) . Well thank you :) . And here I thought you liked my other post too lol. Just Kidding. No this place isn’t expensive and you have to let me know if you decide to visit. It’s such an amazing place with amazing views. I hope you enjoyed your day today

  7. #15 by jdlarkin on September 8, 2011 - 11:28 AM

Ooooohh I’m in! I just looked at the prices and saw that to have breakfast included it is an extra $60 per person! That must be some yummy breakfast. :)

    • #16 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 9, 2011 - 1:10 AM

Hey Jdlarkin :) . You know, in most resorts.. the breakfast is decadent with lots of fruit, cereals, breads, juices, and things of that nature. I have no idea what their breakfast is like but one can imagine it might be good because they only have villas. I hope you enjoyed your day today

  8. #17 by ceciliag on September 8, 2011 - 1:48 PM

I would love to go to Vietnam. If I stayed here I think all day long I would: Jump in the pool. Jump in the ocean. Jump in the pool. Jump in the ocean.

I would have never expected to see such a place in Vietnam. My brother was there and definitely my visions never included anything so peaceful and calming. I could spend months and months there!!

    • #34 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 12, 2011 - 3:29 PM

Hey Linda :) . Me either. This place is simply amazing and affordable. I so agree with you, hearing a lot of the war stories you don’t think of serenity when you hear Vietnam but I know I can relax here. I hope you’re enjoying your day

  17. #35 by lifewith4cats on September 9, 2011 - 9:50 AM

Babygirl, you must get a cookie jar and start squiring away a little bit here and there. Someday I want to read a review of you going to one of these exotic places and describing the yummy breakfast you just had with your feet propped up on a stool.

    • #36 by Kay aka Babygirl on September 12, 2011 - 3:30 PM

Hey lifewith4cats :) . Girl, I already have one LOL. I want to go to Paris, but the more amazing new places I find, the more I’m not sure which place I will decide to vacation at lol. And I can definitely do a review on a resort.. thanks for that idea :) . I hope you’re enjoying your day

  18. #37 by Androgoth on September 9, 2011 - 11:11 AM

Yes book me right in there Kay, I think that some nice R&R will be very nice for me, especially for my nocturnal wickedness, well just as long as my Fangs are sharp enough that is :) . Have a great day today Kay and whatever you do don’t forget to remind me to pack my best Cape, as I can’t fly without it :) lol. Vampire Nights here I come :) lol
