I always wanted to know what it felt like to live in Arizona or in Palm Desert, California. So if I can’t see the area in person, I might as well enjoy viewing homes online (smiles). This 4,000 sq ft contemporary home was built by Seattle-based studio Heliotrope Architects, and is located in Palm Desert, California. I don’t know much else about the home, but I don’t think I need to when I see these photos. Natural lighting, incredible views, and of course amazing living and outdoor areas. I can totally see myself serene here. What about you? Click the link above to view more photos. Enjoy
*NOTE: I won’t be able to answer every comment, like I normally do, due to me having to unexpectedly travel for 3 days. I will, however, take the time out to view all of your wonderful blogs instead (smiles). Everything will be back to normal next week.. I promise (smiles)

Now this is our dream home. Truly. Mike and I have a dream of building our own home in the desert someday. We lived in AZ for a nearly a year a while back and I fell in love with the desert. It wasn’t right for us at the time, but we both know we’ll be back when the time is right. Now if it was in this house or one similar…that would be a dream come true.

I’m more of a coastal person but this home is so beautiful it kinda makes me want to try out CA desert living.

I adore the clean lines. Although I am a very homey type person, I definitely gravitate to the cool, sleek design style that these have. Wow!

It’s a beautiful home. I don’t know much of this area though. Haven’t been there yet, but I know it’s hot.

Love the home but desert living is not for me. Yes, the heat may be dry but 100+ degrees is still 100+ degrees, far too hot for me. If I win the lotto tonight, I’m buying an island.

I lived in AZ once… It truly IS beautiful. But the people weren’t terribly friendly. Now I enjoy going back to visit, but am glad I live in another state.

This one made me stop short. Did Katherine tell you she calls me Desert Beauty?

Also, I second John on 100 being bad no matter how you slice it.

That is a beautiful home. It seems to be a perfect fit with the landscape!
I wish I could say that desert living was for me, but I seem destined for concrete, pollution, artisanal coffee beans, and small dog poop. Meaning from small dogs

Oh, I visited Scottsdale for a week, and it was just gorgeous. Thanks for the memory-filled photos!

Pete and I might be relocating to the desert for a 2 year contract to Windhoek, Namibia! Brilliant shots as always – not sure we would find a home like this though although it would be awesome.

Living with those views would be not be an easy feat, but I am up for the challenge.

Now this is stunning! I would love to live in that home just for one day! I’ve been to AZ but could not live there, I love the climate change we get in the midwest. Have a great weekend and safe travels!
