I grew up respecting and loving the Crock Pot. You couldn’t tell my mom (nor my grandmother) that it wasn’t the greatest invention known to man (laughs). And since spring is approaching, I thought I’d feature one last winter-like, decadent recipe. Today is all about “Apples” and I LOVE this Crockpot Caramel Apple Crumble recipe from the blog How Sweet It Is. Believe it or not, I am not a traditional apple pie eater, so this dish is right up my alley. Yeah.. I’m totally hungry. View the ingredient list below and click the link for the recipe. Another apple recipe coming up..

OK, this could get seriously dangerous! I have a massive crockpot and could see myself sitting down with the whole huge bowl and a spoon!!

Oh my lord, that looks fantastic. We got given a crockpot a while ago – we’ve only used it once… I just don’t really understand the need for it. To be honest, it is an American thing I think, rather than a British thing. You obviously need mad skillz to use them.

Why is this just now being discovered?! What an amazingly easy way to mix my favorite things! Kind of reminds me of Halloween though…actually, that wont stop me from trying it now.

Oh, oh! I’ve always used my crockpot for Good, for comfort foods to brighten the otherwise cold, dank days of late Fall through early Spring. I fear you’re successfully maneuvered your crockpot to the Dark Side. It begins with this wonderful caramel apple crumble and who knows where it will end? Cheesecake? Creme brulee?

Looks good. Alas, we only have the one slow cooker in our house, according to Katherine. His name is Greg.

I never would have thought about making an apple pie in a crock pot. I’ve made applesauce in one, but never a crumble. Delicious idea!
#26 by Just Ramblin' Pier on April 10, 2012 - 7:28 PM
Forget the pot roast or the pork tenderloin….apples are moving in! Yum!!

Lover of the crockpot and will have to give this one a go! I recently bought a programmable crockpot for a steal – full price $60 and got it for $16 and change – BONUS!!!

Okay.. where did you get the deal? LOL j/k. You know I love a good deal Renee and I’m so glad you picked that up. I think if I saw a deal like that, I would’ve run to the cashier immediately. I don’t trust people to not eye my bargain LOL. I hope you’re having a good day
