Luxury.. and New York

The word luxury can be associated with the city of New York.. especially when your home is designed beautifully by this amazing NYC company. Campion Platt designs amazing spaces and each room gives me design ideas for my own home. Yes.. I find myself closing my eyes and dreaming I’m in one of these rooms, overlooking the New York skyline with a cup of tea in my hand, while blogging a new dessert recipe (because I actually have time to bake). Yeah, my dreams are elaborate but enjoy these designs :).

      • It was raining again… I miss spring days… but this weekend as they say it will be 23C degrees again… how strange, right now it is 6C-8C degrees… these up and down tempeeratures make all of us like a drunk… I was at home, with my cat and with my amazing blogger friends… :) But I did so many things at home too. Thank you dear Kay, I hope it’s been a nice day there for you too. Love, nia

        • The temperature has been going up and down lately here too. It was hot and now its back warm but still gets very chilly. I still wear my winter coat just in case because I don’t want to get sick :). I;m glad you been having a great week Nia :)

  1. The bedroom is my favorite of this group. I love the purple hues on the wall…so calming and romantic. In the living room, the purple pillows are calling out to me. I adore purple.

    • I never knew purple was your favorite color. Okay, I have to do a post on purple designs :). Don’t be surprised when you see it either Geni lol. I hope you’re having a good day

    • Hi Bella :). Hey, I specialize in dreaming post :). I dream every-time I see a wonderful home, art, or design and love writing about it to give inspiration. One of these days, one of our dreams will come true.. I’m sure of it :). I hope its this kitchen lol. Thank you for visiting my blog, come back and rant with us anytime. I hope you’re having a good day :)

  2. As much as I love the glass wall and ceiling of the living area, I’d really love having enough money to own that glass wall and ceiling for it would mean I wouldn’t have to worry about cleaning that glass wall and ceiling. I’d just pay someone or, better still, move to a newer penthouse. :)

    • I’m so with you John :). But from the outside, I’d get me a power washer and take care of that lickety split lol. That way I can always have a clean view :). I hope you’re having a good day :)

  3. I’m not one for penthouse apartments or cityscapes, but I enjoy them occasionally – I could imagine spending a couple of months out of a year in a place like this before jetting off back to the quietness of my “country estate” (lol) :D

      • I think you just gave me some good ideas there. I will research a bit and if I do make a DIY headboard, you will be the first to know. I am loving this. And yes, do send me links to bag sales too. I don’t mind. Lol.

        • I think you will do a great job. I’ve been thinking of doing my own headboard as well. I’ve known of this DIY for awhile and never got around to doing it. I think I’m gonna take a trip out to Home Depot :). And I’m going to email you an article on how to do this DIY. I hope you have a great weekend

  4. “I want to wake up in the city that doesn’t sleep. I am am the king of the hill, ….New York New York!!! Now I can’ get that Frank Sinatra song out of my head. I love the views from the balcony.

    • Not really Tandy. I typical NYC kitchen would be one that has no space, 1 cabinet, and would look like a closet to be honest lol. No lie. This kitchen featured.. would be a kitchen we would all want in a regular NYC apartment :). I hope you’re having a good day :)

  5. The thing that struck me the most about the kitchen picture was just how happy it looks. It’s a very happy kitchen. I would love to be in there whipping something up right now. :) I think I’m off to go have an elaborate dream of my own now. LOL.
