Africa = Beauty

Although I’ve never been to Africa, I still think of it as my home (my origin) and feel very much connected to it.  So when my online travels lead me to Photographer Nick Brandt’s website, I can’t convey how speechless I was viewing his stunning wildlife photos. Nick manages to shed a light on Africa’s wildlife conditions by showcasing giant ivory tusks being hauled away into inventory, poachers, as well as capturing beautiful up-close portraits of the animals themselves. View more of his work by clicking above, or you can purchase his book entitled On This Earth, A Shadow Falls. Enjoy

    Have you read the poem “Africa” by Maya Angelou? Your mention of feeling connected to Africa made me think of it.
