Contemporary.. and Peaceful

I love all types of design, including modern. I also believe modern design gets a bad rep. because most feel the design is cold. Modern, and some contemporary designs, aren’t always cold in my opinion.. and I admire how organized each room ends up being (I truly need to be more organized *laughs*). This 5,900 sq ft two-story home, located in Israel and completed by Pitsou Kedem Architects, is one with nature. The view, the open floor plan, the greenery may scream no kid zone, but it doesn’t make it any less relaxing (smiles). Click the link above for more.. Enjoy

Too much symmetry and white for me. Jaffa apartment was interesting. Have a good day.

Having studied art and design, I should love modern. I can appreciate it but can’t live comfortably with it. I lived in one contemporary home (designed by one of the top 40 architects under 40 in the country) but I never felt relaxed there. I always felt like a visitor in my own home.

I’m kind of torn on this one. Part of me loves it. The other part thinks it might be a bit cold, but you know if you handed me the keys, I wouldn’t hesitate. I bet the dogs would love sliding around on those floors.
