Shades of Grey

I love designing a room according to how I feel during each season. In order for me to accomplish, I make sure the base color for each room is a neutral color (grey, white, pastels, etc.). Neutrals.. never go out of style. And by purchasing colored accessories only (pillows, chairs, vases, wall prints, spray paint a side table, etc), you can keep the cost down if you’re on a budget, and still get the trendy seasoned look. So, here are some ideas on how you can design with the color grey. Enjoy the day my friends (smiles)

    Hey there Kay.

Hope all is well, looks like I did another one of my “great escapes” – nice to see your site going from strength to strength.

I love Neutral colours, the grey in the top right image is lovely, you can almost blend in any bright colour against that grey, it would compliment it very well.

Another fine peice of work :-)

    Enjoy your day.

It is so great to see your blog about the colour grey, it is simply an under-rated colour. For me it adds a sense of elegance especially using the Farrow and Ball range

    Ahhhhhhhh, you tricked me, Kay.

This is not the SHADES OF GREY I was thinking of!

    Lovely Photographs. Xx

I was thinking the same thing! And a little relieved that it was beautiful shades of grey and not 50 — can you imagine the rooms then?!

      Looks great, Kay!

This post should come up in some google hits…shades if gray. :; I like gray a lot. We used it in our bedroom at one of our city apartments and I loved it!

I had no idea there were literally so many shades of gray but the effect is very stunning and classy.

Grey is such a great color because it can calm yet be punched up with accent colors in a snap!

Grey or gray depending on what part of the world you live in is a beautiful neutral color. Love the first photo of the chair.

I love different shades of grey. In fact, some of those colors in the photos look similar to what we have here in the house.

OMG!! I love it all! I think my fave is the home office with the purple/blue chair and ottoman. And of course the pop of yellow. I’m loving all the shades!
