I love to look at beautiful gardens, but I never thought I’d see something as spectacular as this. Botanist Patrick Blanc creates some of the most profound vertical gardens in the world. His inspiration came from a trip to India, where he learned that as long as plants get enough water and sunshine, they can grow anywhere. So he took his inspiration, and built his first vertical garden in Paris.. and the rest, as they say, is history. I am in awe every-time I see one of his creations. Art, within a garden. AMAZING!!!!! As a gardener, the first thought that came to mind is how are the lines and curves maintained? Someone specializing in pruning and maintenance?

And this is why I need to go to Paris to visit and sight see. Absolutely stunning. I am hoping to see this in San Francisco. I think we have really good climate here to do this kind of vertical gardening.

I’ve seen a couple of these (Changi airport in Singapore has an indoor wall covered in plants !) and it just makes me smile. Perfect way to bring greenery where there is no land to grow them

This is the 15th of a 51 series of posts on my reblog or linkback project. I am featuring Pure Complex this week because the site is absolutely gorgeous. Also, Kay, the owner of the blog has been one of my earliest blog friend and the site is currently going through rebranding. So if you like it now, expect to see it become more amazing… p.s. I am featuring this post because it’s about gardens and Paris…something that I think a lot of you will enjoy, if you haven’t already seen it.
