Wedding photos aren’t your same ol’ cookie cutter “Stand right here and pose like this” pictures anymore. Wedding photography can now be spontaneous, colorful, imaginative, high fashion, and simplistic. And New York based photographer Christian Oth’s take on weddings… has taken my breath away. From the black and white feel, the beauty, and the city as a background… who wouldn’t want to look at these photos in your wedding album for years to come. Click the link above to view more. Kay, these are great shots! My daughter is interning with a wedding planner who prefers only not typical type weddings, along with the photography. Gina will love to see this!

These are truly beautiful. Though certainly staged, they have that candid feel to them. Well, except for the bride ascending the lit stairs. That shot is my favorite. Thanks, Kay, for sharing.

How lovely! I adore the one with the veil blowing in the breeze … so cool.

I think I’ve said this before, but we just missed the photo journalist style trend when we got married. I’d love to redo our wedding pics. Maybe someday.
These are gorgeous!

Great shots! I like the one of the bride with her veil blowing in the breeze. Here in Hong Kong the culture is to get their pre-wedding photos in the natural pose up to one year before the wedding. I see pretty brides everywhere posing on the hiking trails, in front of temples, shots of them on the trolleys, etc. Now what is they spend all that money on photos and someone decides to change their mind on the whole marriage thing? Hmmm.

Some time will I see a bride not in a white, but in another colour?!
White is okey but … may be something new?
