Check In / Dream Downtown Hotel, NY

hw13dreamhotelIts Hotel Week! All this week I’ll be featuring hotels, that will take us on a tour through the US and beyond. Hey, who said you can’t travel without money? (smiles). I thought I’d start off my trip, in my own backyard, at the Dream Downtown Hotel located in the Meatpacking District. This 12 story hotel, to me, pays homage to the 60′s while bring a modern twist to the city. This oasis features restaurants, rooftop lounges, outdoor pool and bar, & more. I’m simply in LOVE. I hope your bags are still packed, because tomorrow, we travel to Miami!

That rooftop patio is to die for! And I love those round windows,,,very nautical…lol! Reminds me on Dive… the submarine restaurant that used to be in Los Angeles… very similar windows….

Why didn’t I have this 3 weeks ago? I was is Manhattan for work and they put me in the Hudson Hotel. Coolest lobby and bar but the rooms are ridiculously small. I know space other city is at a premium, but this hotel looks gorgeous!

Hey Carolyn :) . This would’ve been a perfect place for you to stay. It’s close to some amazing restaurants and the neighborhood is simply amazing. I really think you would’ve liked it. If you come back to NY, you can now request this place :) .

I love the port hole windows in this hotel — they are so unique!. Sigh…makes me wish I could go to NYC soon. We did visit the Meat Packing District when we were there a few years ago — such a cool part of the city!

Hey P&P :) . Certain parts of the city really feel like it’s on state lol. But it is a cool part of the city. You definitely have to see this exterior of this hotel if you return.. or maybe stay here :) . Enjoy your weekend

I want to stay there, but I’ve left my wallet at home and, hold on, my passport has expired, but if I can fix those details I will be at the reception in the twinkling of an eye

I love the windows! So nautical, reminds me of windows on those ships. I will have to check this hotel out next time. I don’t think I have been to the meat packing district yet.

    • #24 by Purely.. Kay on February 8, 2013 - 2:15 PM

Hey Lisa :) . It does.. and the architecture really is beautiful in person. And I think you’d love the meatpacking district. It’s so much to do in such a small part of town. And you’d LOVE the food :)
