Style.. with Watercolors

The one thing you can do to personalize your home, in my opinion, is to have artwork on your walls. And not all art is expensive. Artist Jessica Durrant creates beautiful illustrations that are whimsical, fun, and alluring. From her silhouettes of a woman, to architectural scenes.. her art definitely appeals to me and would be welcome on my walls any day. Her watercolor illustrations start at $18 to $225 if you prefer original/exclusive art pieces (I did say beautiful art doesn’t have to cost you a lot of money *smiles*). Honesty is the Best Policy.. part deux

Back in September, of last year, I posted the series ‘Honesty Logos‘ from the wonderful artist Viktor Hertz. If you recall, this series is all about.. “revealing the actual content of the company” or “what they really should be called.” I was so excited when I saw he had more Honesty Logos, that I couldn’t wait to reveal them here. I thought it was going to be tough for Viktor to top his “Penis Extender” Porsche Logo.. but he has (smiles). Make sure to click the artist name to view more and check out my first post about these Honesty Logos.. they’ll make you laugh all over again.

Shades of Blue

When I find great artistic works that I love, to display here, you can’t imagine the excitement that I feel (Yes, I’m a bit of a geek in that aspect but don’t you call me that *laughs*). So I was honored when I found the works of Romanian Photographer Caras Ionut. While looking through his amazing portfolio, I found a number of photos that were digitally edited in this wonderful shade of blue; and each one took my breath away. For me, it’s very hard to believe that he ended his long career as a seaman to pursue photography 7 years ago.. he’s definitely a natural photographer. Click the link above to view more. Enjoy

Reflections

The one thing I didn’t know about myself, when I started this blog, was that I LOVE photography and I can’t wait to take photos of my own. With me being an amateur photographer, I think I can learn a lot from Photojournalist Jonathan Auch. His photos, capture real life moments in time with such raw emotion and feeling. I love just about all of his photos,  but his photos of New York City (tri-state area) really make me smile.. maybe because its home (smiles). I will definitely be featuring his work again. Landscape Sculptures

Do you think its possible for the human eye to be deceived? After viewing this amazing art, I certainly think so. Rhode Island based artist Tom Deininger sculpts beautiful landscapes out of wires, cables, and other alternative materials. Yes, you read right.. come a little closer and really view these photos. Yes, I know, your human eye was just deceived.. but in a good way. And I love the various materials he uses.. like noticeable toy figures I see my niece and nephews play with. Very unique. Advice from a Successful Innovator

Sometimes, taking advice from another may deflate your confidence and leave you believing you can’t achieve your dreams. When that happens, listen to your gut and to an innovative genius like Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein, & more. Artist Nuno Filipe Miranda created this project by taking a photo of an innovator, fading the photo into a background, then placing their amazing advice into the photo to inspire us all. Whenever you need inspiration.. make sure to visit this the link above. Wonderful work Nuno Filipe Miranda. Enjoy
