Preparation: Sandy 2012

Every newspaper, news channel, weather blog, and person on the Eastern Atlantic line is talking and preparing itself for Hurricane Sandy. To all my blog friends and visitors… stay safe, stay prepared, and stay optimistic.
Because of the storm, Pure Complex will delay its return to November 22nd. But in the meantime, while we wait for the storm.. I’m going to enjoy a snack, a piece of chocolate, and a cup of tea (smiles). Stay Safe

Two years ago, I decided I wanted to start a blog. I had no idea what it was going to be about, nor did I think anyone would even visit; all I knew was… I wanted to start a blog.
And that decision changed my life. Not only did I learn things about myself that I didn’t know, but I also made wonderful blog friends in the process.
Today, I want to thank everyone for consistently supporting this blog. I know, lately, I haven’t been around as much (due to real life kicking my a** at the moment), but I just want you to know I appreciate all of you. In the coming months, look out for some interesting and ridiculously amazing changes that will begin here on Thursday, November 1st.
Happy Birthday Pure Complex.. and thank you. I have NO regrets.

Weekly + Labor Love

Well… it’s official! I can’t escape from Fall like I thought I could (smiles). I guess I will just have to deal with Labor Day, dust off my old but cute sweaters, and say goodbye to my summer clothes. But just because fall is approaching, doesn’t mean I can’t drool over these summer recipes (and wish I could cook those recipes in the kitchen above.. *smiles*).
I would seriously pull out the grill in the winter time just to make this…
But before I freeze to death (laughs), I think I will go ahead and make this recipe this weekend.
And I will definitely find time to make these grilled lamb chops, cooked by an amazing 14 y/o

Weekly Loves

At the end of every week, I always find myself saying the same thing “I’m so glad this week is over!“. There’s nothing like the weekend. And today, I’m sharing some of my favorite web links that has inspired me this week. But before I get to that, I must say, my desk is a mess (laughs). I know you’ve heard this before but I can’t figure out how my desk went from clean to “who the hell left the window open“. Yup, it’s time to clean..
But if I had this Sweet Indulgence while cleaning, it would make time go by much faster (smiles).
Or I could forego cleaning altogether and view these absolutely stunning photos of a dreamy wedding.
I just wonder if they had these amazing Sticky Chicken Wings at their reception… I know I would have. I’m definitely making this today.
But before I do, maybe I could come up with a beautiful surprise for a loved one that won’t break the bank.
Because WE ALL KNOW, You don’t need money to be Happy (smiles)
