When spring arrives I know its time to: pack away my winter closet, begin spring cleaning, get new accessories.. home & fashion (cheapest way to update any outfit), and stock up on allergy medicine (laughs). So I gather my list of purchases and begin to update my personal space. Above is some of my favorite items for spring.. some I already own, and some are on their way to me (smiles). O Chocolate.. wherefore art thou chocolate.. (laughs). Before you get upset at me for butchering Shakespeare’s most beloved play, I must tell you, that’s how I reacted when I saw this cake. Yes, as you can tell I’m featuring ‘cake day‘ today and I decided to start off with this delicious Chocolate Bundt Cake recipe from the website Food52 (I love a lot of their recipes). At this moment, I’ve decided, to stop typing and allow this cake to speak for itself. View the ingredient list below, and click above for the full recipe. Another ‘cake‘ recipe is coming up..

Contemporary Beauty

I know it may seem like I adore modern design more (which isn’t true), but truthfully I also love contemporary design. I especially enjoy the work of New York based Designer Tamzin Greenhill; who’s also the special projects editor for Elle Décor magazine. Each of her rooms seem to have a classic and effortless look about them. Many rooms don’t need a lot of “stuff” to make it look amazing, and her designs definitely confirm that statement. My favorite? The white kitchen

Everyone knows I love to online travel; and during this trip, I found a home just for you men. In Surry Hills, in the state of New South Wales, Australia, this warehouse has been converted into a beautiful, contemporary home (I just love a conversion project). This home features three bedrooms, three baths, an inner courtyard with a deep plunge pool, a home theater, and mostly every mans dream… a garage that can fit up to 10 cars! Yes, this home is the ultimate man cave and is currently on the market. Click the sales listing here to view more. Enjoy ![]()

Photographed to Perfection

I’m reminded everyday by a saying I wrote, “A job isn’t going to make you happy, a career that allows you to wake up every morning smiling.. Is!” Photographer Emily Gilbert would understand that saying all to well. She was first a Set Designer in the TV & film industry until she found her calling.. photography. She definitely has a way of photographing a room, at the right angle, that makes me want to have a kitchen like the one above. These rooms are amazing; so I’m sharing the inspiration.
