A Favorite Song..
Posted by Purely.. Kay in My Diary on January 21, 2012
This is the last weekend before my birthday approaches.. and I thought I’d share one of my favorite songs. Of course, I have a few favorite songs.. but this one is by my all time favorite artist.. Sade’.
I discovered her music during summer break as a pre-teen, at my grandmother’s house, digging through my aunt’s old cassette collection (no I wasn’t supposed to be in there but you couldn’t tell me that). From that day on.. I’ve been a fan. I know most people don’t care for her music.. but I love it. So enjoy.. Sade’s Cherish The Day musical video (shot in NYC in the 90′s..). Happy Saturday!
Feeling Romantic.. in the morning

Today.. I woke up feeling romantic.. with a smile on my face.. all because I heard one of my favorite songs playing. Waking up to good music (that reminds you of memories), definitely starts the day off right. Enjoy.. Robin Thicke’s ‘Lost Without You‘.. starring his wife, in the video, Paula Patton. Happy Saturday!
Music: Your Eyes..

When you listen to a song, do you ever feel like the lyrics to that particular song conveys what you’re feeling even when words fail you? I find myself feeling that way a lot, especially when I listen to this song. I’ve followed this particular artist for a very long time and her music still puts a smile to my face. Amel Larrieux.. to me.. is a beautiful artist, with honest and romantic lyrics. If date night is approaching, or you just want something beautiful playing in the background, why not play this song entitled “Your Eyes“. I’m such a romantic at heart. Enjoy
Sculpture: Frozen in Time

As Creative Week comes to a close today, I wanted to feature the work of London artist Claire Morgan. Claire’s sculptures are breathtaking. She uses a unique suspension style to freeze time with these animals, almost creating a liberating story similar to a photograph. Even though she uses taxidermy animals, they seem to come alive through her sculptures. Creative, Beautiful, and Artistic. Click the link above to view more.
I want to thank my blog family, new visitors, and new subscribers for supporting Creative Week. I can’t thank you enough; your support means everything. I will leave you with a song that always makes me smile by Alicia Keys. Enjoy your Sunday ![]()
Love is You…

This song always transports me to another world. Love has always been an interesting discussion (everyone has their own take on what love is); so when I listen to this, I’m reminded of love’s purity between two people. Enjoy Chrisette Michele’s, Love is You. Enjoy your Wednesday everyone
Cleaning can be fun
Posted by Purely.. Kay in My Diary on June 12, 2011
Who am I kidding.. cleaning is not all that fun LOL. It can be tedious and non exciting. But when you turn on some music, everything seems to change. Somehow washing those dishes are fun and the vacuum turns into your partner on the dance floor. I know I’m not the only one who has done this? lol. And believe it or not, it can be a form of exercise but I like to think of it as dance practice lol. I’ve been listening to several rock songs and r&b fast songs; but the song with the African inspired beat has got me dancing until I can’t vacuum no more. And can you believe I almost fell? LMAO.. So have you danced while cleaning? Happy Sunday!
