Whenever summer rolls around, I find myself choosing lighter but fuller meals. I know that probably doesn’t make any sense, but I’m not a bird eater people (laughs). I LOVE a good meal.. and would rather not feel weighed down after eating (especially in the summer time). Which is why I chose the theme ‘I Heart Salmon‘ in the first place. Or maybe it was because I found this Broiled Salmon with Thai Sweet Chili Glaze recipe from the website Once Upon A Chef. I LOVE this recipe.. but this meal is still my favorite salmon dish (*smiles* this recipe is my second favorite). View the ingredient list below and click the link for the recipe. Happy Friday
Writing this blog has definitely made it easier for me to try new things.. especially foods I thought I didn’t like. Once upon a time, I thought I didn’t like salmon (what was I thinking *laughs*); but now salmon has become one of my favorite dishes to eat. So of course the theme ‘I Heart Salmon‘ was perfect. Especially when I found this Salmon Papillotes with Red Peppercorns, Lime and Fresh Ginger recipe from Food52. The seasoning and the cream definitely makes this salmon dish pop. I’m guessing you already know this Food Friday is ‘All About Salmon‘. And in true form, I went on a search to find unique salmon recipes to showcase. While searching, I found this intriguing Salmon in Sorrel Sauce recipe from the website Food52. When I first viewed this recipe, I wasn’t sure I would like it. But the more I see it, the more this unique recipe is growing on me. If you want to make this but can’t find chervil or sorrel, try substituting them with spinach and chives. View the ingredient list below and click on the link for the recipe. Happy Friday!
Growing up, I remember my mom making us Salmon Cakes. I enjoyed them but in all honesty.. they never were my favorite. I just ate them because whatever my mother cooked, that’s what we ate (or you starved *laughs*). When I got older, I decided to give it a try again. And from that day on, I fell in love with salmon. There is just something about Salmon with a bourbon sauce that sends my taste buds into heaven. So I found this Maple-Mustard Grilled Salmon recipe from the website Chow.
