A Favorite Song..

This is the last weekend before my birthday approaches.. and I thought I’d share one of my favorite songs. Of course, I have a few favorite songs.. but this one is by my all time favorite artist.. Sade’.
I discovered her music during summer break as a pre-teen, at my grandmother’s house, digging through my aunt’s old cassette collection (no I wasn’t supposed to be in there but you couldn’t tell me that). From that day on.. I’ve been a fan. I know most people don’t care for her music.. but I love it. So enjoy.. Sade’s Cherish The Day musical video (shot in NYC in the 90′s..). Happy Saturday!

Today.. I woke up feeling romantic.. with a smile on my face.. all because I heard one of my favorite songs playing. Waking up to good music (that reminds you of memories), definitely starts the day off right. Enjoy.. Robin Thicke’s ‘Lost Without You‘.. starring his wife, in the video, Paula Patton. Happy Saturday!

Have you seen ‘Morning Glory’?

One movie I wish I wrote a review on would be the romantic comedy “Morning Glory“. I didn’t get a chance to see this film when it hit theaters, but I did get a chance to watch it on DVD and let me just say.. I loved it. I also loved seeing Diane Keaton and Harrison Ford together. So to keep Movie Monday interesting, I thought I’d feature a humorous scene from the movie (it’s not the best picture, but it’s funny). This scene features Rachel McAdams (a struggling producer) trying everything she can to get higher ratings for a Morning News Show. If Morning News was this funny.. I’d watch more often.

*NOTE: Tomorrow is a HUGE day for Pure Complex.. so if you like contest.. you might want to enter :) . More details tomorrow at 10 am Eastern.

Music: Your Eyes..

When you listen to a song, do you ever feel like the lyrics to that particular song conveys what you’re feeling even when words fail you? I find myself feeling that way a lot, especially when I listen to this song. I’ve followed this particular artist for a very long time and her music still puts a smile to my face. Amel Larrieux.. to me.. is a beautiful artist, with honest and romantic lyrics. If date night is approaching, or you just want something beautiful playing in the background, why not play this song entitled “Your Eyes“. I’m such a romantic at heart. Enjoy :)
